Other Brother Beer Co. in Seaside, California is an adaptive reuse project that transforms a former industrial warehouse into a modern, community-focused brewery. This project retains the building’s original character while introducing a welcoming atmosphere that reflects both the craft and culture of local brewing.

The design centers around a spacious taproom with a central bar, offering direct views of the brewing equipment. Large windows and high ceilings flood the space with natural light, creating an open, inviting environment. The brewery’s eclectic interior blends vibrant, unexpected elements with industrial charm, adding a playful yet sophisticated atmosphere that enhances the guest experience. Reclaimed wood and exposed steel details celebrate the industrial roots of the space while adding warmth and texture.

A strong connection between the indoor and outdoor areas was prioritized in the design. An expansive patio extends the social experience, offering flexible seating and gathering space that supports everything from casual tastings to private events.

Custom furnishings and a flexible layout allow the space to adapt to various functions. Sustainable strategies were integrated throughout the building, including energy-efficient systems and eco-friendly materials. The result is a dynamic venue that balances form and function, aligning with the brewery’s values and the surrounding Seaside community.
